Terms of use

Note: Sections marked Coming soon describe features that are not live yet; this policy applies to them once they launch, and we'll update the effective date if anything changes.

1. About these terms

These terms cover the portfolio at nonartificialsi.com and www.nonartificialsi.com, and these apps:

• AdaptiveSchool, a schooling portal: adaptivehs.nonartificialsi.com and adaptivehs-v2.web.app (planned address: adaptiveschool.nonartificialsi.com).
• MaQkrs Command Center: rebuild in progress, not public yet (planned address: command.nonartificialsi.com).
• Victorious Herbal Elements store: herbal.nonartificialsi.com.
• CS646 Sanctum, a 3D study world with a study guide: cs646-sanctum-app.web.app (planned address: sanctum.nonartificialsi.com).

By using these sites and apps, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

MaQkrs AI Tutor, the app, has its own terms of use. Those terms, not these, apply to the app.

2. Who can use the apps

You must be 18 or older to use the apps and their AI features, including AdaptiveSchool. Anyone may read the portfolio pages.

3. Accounts and the demo login

• Public sign-up is turned off. Admin accounts are only for Andrew Strachan.
• Coming soon "Try the demo" signs you in to a temporary demo account with sample data. Demo accounts and everything in them are deleted automatically, usually within 24 hours, and can't be recovered.
• Coming soon Demo AI features have a small usage limit.

4. Don't enter real personal, student, or health data

Don't enter real personal, student, or health data in demo accounts or AI features, including names, email addresses, passwords, grades, rosters, payment details, or medical information.

5. AI features Coming soon

AI features are not live in the apps today. When they launch:

• AI answers are created by current Google Gemini models. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Check important facts with a reliable source.
• AI output is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or educational advice.
• Follow Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy when you use AI features.
• Your own key: if you add your own Google AI Studio key, you are responsible for it, for following Google's terms, and for any charges on your Google account. The key stays in your browser (see the privacy policy).

6. Victorious Herbal Elements store

• Checkout is off today: no orders, no charges, and no card details are collected. Stripe test mode is coming soon.
• Coming soon Checkout will run in Stripe test mode. No real charges will be made, and no orders will be fulfilled or shipped. Use Stripe's test card, not a real card.
• Products can't be bought until live payments are turned on. Before that happens, these terms and the privacy policy will be updated with the store's sales terms.
• These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Nothing in the store is medical advice.

7. Acceptable use

Please use these sites and apps only for lawful purposes. Don't:

• try to get into accounts, data, or admin areas you aren't authorized to use, or into another person's demo sandbox;
• try to get around demo limits, AI limits, or bot checks, or create demo sessions with automated tools;
• probe, scan, or load-test the sites, or try to disrupt them;
• upload or send malware or harmful code, or use AI features to create harmful or illegal content; or
• pretend to be Andrew Strachan or suggest he endorses you.

If you find a security problem, please email strachan@uab.edu instead of testing it further. Thank you.

8. Content and code

Unless a page says otherwise, the text, images, and design of these sites are © 2026 Andrew Strachan. You may link to any page and quote short passages with credit. Code in public repositories is covered by the license in each repository. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners; see the credits page.

9. Changes to the apps

The apps may change, pause, or go offline at any time, and features (including AI features and demo access) may be limited or removed.

10. Links to other sites

These sites link to other websites, such as GitHub, LinkedIn, Google, and Stripe. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.

11. No warranty

These sites and apps are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Andrew Strachan is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of these sites or apps.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will update the dates at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also post a short notice on the portfolio home page.
